Join us every third Thursday of the month to get together and have meaningful discussions with other stroke survivors. Each meeting will feature a guest speaker who will touch upon different topics related to stroke and stroke recovery.
This month’s speaker will be Sabrina Kraft, LCSW. The topic of our discussion will be Cognitive Rehabilitation: How mood can affect memory and cognitive function. Sabrina is a mental health therapist at Chicago Centers for Cognitive Wellness, specializing in treating individuals who have experienced stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and other cognitive changes related to disease and aging. Prior to transitioning to mental health therapy, Sabrina worked as an inpatient care manager in the Brain Innovation Center at Shirley Ryan Abilitylab, helping to support patients and families in discharge planning after stroke, TBI, and other brain injuries.
